Terms of Service

Welcome to I Need Invoice. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and I Need Invoice (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the I Need Invoice web application, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
I Need Invoice provides invoicing, quoting, payments, and related business- operations tooling aimed at small businesses in South Africa. We are continuously improving the Service; features may be added, changed, or removed from time to time.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Your content and data
You retain ownership of all data and content you upload to or generate through the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display Customer Data solely as needed to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your Customer Data, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
You are responsible for the lawfulness of the Customer Data you upload, including ensuring you have the rights to share any personal information of clients or third parties through the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to send spam, phishing, or otherwise unlawful messages;
- attempt to access another user's account or workspace without authorisation;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Service;
- upload material that is illegal, infringing, or harmful;
- resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent.
5. Fees and billing
Some features of the Service may be offered for a fee. Where a paid plan applies, we will tell you the price, billing cadence, and currency before you subscribe. Unless stated otherwise, fees are quoted exclusive of VAT and are non-refundable. We may change pricing on reasonable prior notice.
6. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party providers (for example, email delivery, payment rails such as PayShap, Stripe, Ozow, Stitch, Yoco, and PayFast). Your use of those providers is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, fees, or behaviour of third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
7. Tax invoices and compliance
I Need Invoice provides tools to help you produce tax invoices and related documents in line with South African Revenue Service (SARS) requirements. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, the correctness of your tax returns, and your compliance with applicable laws.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or third parties.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. I Need Invoice is not a substitute for professional tax, legal, or accounting advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of South Africa, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
